Richness, beauty and solidity

Stroll through Lecce and you will realize that the surreal light, intense, sometimes violent, that invests you in every corner of the city is mostly due to the refraction on paving or monuments that dot and decorate in a unique way this part of Salento.
The Lecce stone, with limestone formation dating back to the Miocene, that is nothing less than 21 million years ago, is one of the main stones that make up the architecture of Salento, with a unique structure, color and compactness.
Among the peculiarities of this stone there is undoubtedly the containment, in the formation itself, fragments of shells, small fossils that geologically enrich the structure, but also clays, quartz that are added to a series of minerals that fortify it and make it still more fascinating.
